Sinopse

“Fogo!

Vestiges of Memory

Sinopse

Vestiges of Memory is a feature-length documentary that follows the journey of Atxu Marimã, a survivor of forced contact and violence against the Hi-Merimã people, one of the last Indigenous groups living in voluntary isolation in the Brazilian Amazon. By reconstructing his identity and reconnecting with his ancestral territory, the film exposes the impacts of colonial violence, environmental destruction, and the erasure of Indigenous memory.
