Karen Shiratori is a postdoctoral researcher in Anthropology at the University of São Paulo and affiliated with CEstA and PALOC-IRD. She holds a Master’s and PhD in Social Anthropology from the National Museum and degrees in Philosophy from USP. Her work focuses on public policies for Indigenous peoples in voluntary isolation and includes publications on traditional knowledge, agrobiodiversity, and cosmology.
Alziro Barbosa is a Brazilian Director of Photography with degrees from VGIK in Russia. Since 1995, he has worked on over 100 productions, including features, documentaries, and TV series. He has won multiple awards, including five Best Cinematography prizes from the ABC. Notable works include The Wind Blows The Border (2022) with Laura Faerman, and the award-winning animated feature Bob Cuspe, by César Cabral.
Daniela Castro is an artist-writer and experimental curator active since 2006. Her practice includes exhibitions, aesthetic texts, performance, translation, teaching, and writing workshops. She holds degrees from the University of Toronto and UDESC, with additional studies at The University of Hong Kong (HKU), and is currently a PhD candidate in Clinical Psychology at PUC-SP under Suely Rolnik. Her work has been shown in over 20 countries.
Luis Ludmer holds a Master’s in Film from Vancouver Film School and a PhD from FAU-USP. With over 20 years as a curator and producer, he executive-produced The Wind Blows The Border (2022) and directed Palavras Permanecem (Curta!, 2018). He also created the showcase Paixão de Memória with Patricio Guzmán. A board member of the Vladimir Herzog Institute, he teaches Latin American studies at the University of Bremen.
